Coronavirus Update

Letter to parents and guardians 17th March 2020.

I am sure many of you are concerned about the current escalating situation nationally and internationally in relation to coronavirus.

We receive daily updates from The Department for Education advising us of any action we may need to take. So far, all the information is in the public domain; the direction given to schools matches what is being said on the news.

Regular washing of hands for more than 20 seconds remains the most effective action we can all take to prevent the spread of the virus. Students have been reminded of this advice and additional cleaning routines are in place.

There have been no cases of Coronavirus within or connected to school so far.

We do need to be prepared and are working on contingency plans should there be any instruction to close the school.

We will always follow the advice given to us by Public Health England and The Department for Education.

I will keep you informed of any changes to the situation in school.

If you have changed your telephone number or any other contact details please let us know as soon as possible.

Our priority always will be the health and welfare of your children. Thank you for your support and we hold all medical professionals and the elderly in particular in our prayers.

Mrs Downes
Acting Headteacher
